Joan Enric Lluna

Joan Enric Lluna is a versatile musician who combines his work as a clarinettist with conducting and teaching.

He founded Moonwinds and has been directing the International Festival “Residències de Música de Cambra” in Valencia since 2009.

As a soloist, Joan has performed much of the repertoire for clarinet and premiered concerts by composers such as Sir John Tavener, J. Guinjoan, César Cano and Sánchez Verdú, and performed as soloist with Zubin Mehta, Gianandrea Noseda and Neville Mariner among many others.

His recordings include his two recordings of Mozart’s K622 concert, with directors Sir Neville Marriner (Tritò) and Anthony Pay (Cala Records) respectively. He has recorded with the Brodsky, Tokio and Alexander quartets and has five CDs dedicated to Spanish music for Harmonia Mundi and Clarinet Classics. His recordings include his two recordings of Mozart’s K622 concert, with directors Sir Neville Marriner (Tritò) and Anthony Pay (Cala Records) respectively. 

He is a lecturer at Trinity College in London, ESMUC in Barcelona, and is invited to give master classes at numerous prestigious centres, including California State University and the Royal College of Music in London.
