Jean-Marc Fessard comes from the great tradition of the French clarinet school and leads an international career both in chamber music and as a soloist. He has also published an authoritative history of the clarinet, entitled also the Author of The Evolution of the Clarinet. As a frequent contributor to Polish Radio and concert appearances in Poland will almost certainly have inspired him to dedicate a disc to this great repertoire of Polish music.
