While the clarinet as an instrument continues to develop, so too does the repertoire. Forgive me if I sound a little biased towards my instrument but the diversity of the repertoire and composers writing for us is a testament to the diverse and hugely eclectic nature of the clarinet with its huge range and immense flexibly, agility and colours.  In addition, the bass clarinet, once considered only as an orchestral instrument is now very much seen as also a recital instrument due to key exponents of the bass clarinet of which Henri Bok is one of the most famous. The variety of music included in this collection will not fail to excite, amaze, inspire and indeed entertain. From Roger Heaton’s performance of Steve Reich’s New York Counterpoint to his teacher Alan Hacker  in a collection of rare LP recordings transferred to CD.
