A companion disc to CC0038, this recording completes, to date the smaller chamber works written by Thea Musgrave featuring the clarinet. Combining works which primarily feature wind instruments is the chance to hear the impressive Wind Quintet and the rarely heard Four Portraits. All the works receive their premiere recording including Narcissus transcribed by the composer for clarinet and digital delay. With and extensive booklet and liner notes written by the composer, this is a significant recording which enables listeners to enjoy the impressive output of Scotland’s most distinguished and highly regarded present day composers,.
